Gordon Parks

Gordon parks was an American photographer, musician and writer during the 1930's. He was born on November 30th, 1912 in Fort Scott, Kansas and died March 7, 2006. He is most remembered for his photogenic photographs on Life Magazine. And for being the director of the film Shaft. During the time in which he attended school there was still a lot of segregation. Blacks were not allowed to do much and this is why he insisted in showing the world what was happening. He had many traumatic events happen in his life, for example being 14 years old and losing his mother. It was very unfortunate and he decided he wanted to change this cycle and become something he loved and would show the world these events.
