Nov. 18 2015 Experience
It was very fun taking photos of my friend at different angles. I enjoyed it because there was a distinct view on every picture. On one you could see more of a shadow because of the sun hitting. On another you could see it clearly from the front. And on another you saw a side view and the persons characteristics from the side. I also took on the door reflection which also made it more fun; discovering different ways to take pictures.

Gordon Parks
Gordon parks was an American photographer, musician and writer during the 1930's. He was born on November 30th, 1912 in Fort Scott, Kansas and died March 7, 2006. He is most remembered for his photogenic photographs on Life Magazine. And for being the director of the film Shaft. During the time in which he attended school there was still a lot of segregation. Blacks were not allowed to do much and this is why he insisted in showing the world what was happening. He had many traumatic events happen in his life, for example being 14 years old and losing his mother. It was very unfortunate and he decided he wanted to change this cycle and become something he loved and would show the world these events.
Alfred Stieglitz

He was determined to show the world that photography was a way to express art. He joined a Camera Club, then left it to take photos on his own. He spent his life taking many photos and had dreamed of having his own gallery. Towards the end of his life he spent it actually working on the many galleries he had and showed his work to the people. I chose this picture because out of he many he had this is the one that popped out the most.

Paul Strand
Paul Strand was an american photographer and film maker, who was born on October 16, 1890, in New York city. He mainly took pictures in America, Europe and Africa. His photography contained body genes, body of work, and subjects throughout these countries. He made silent films of day-to-day life in New York City. I chose this picture because most of his pictures consisted of body parts, adults and certain subjects in that era. So this is one of the different pictures I found.

Mary ellen mark
This is an image that Mary Allen Mary took. I chose to write about this photo because it actually explains a lot of the children in this generation. Even though this was back then I still feel like children now are starting to smoke and consume dangerous drugs t a very young age. The way the photo says different drugs behind it really shows a lot and its just a good background because its erves as a explanation.

What I learned from this website?
One thing i learned from this website is that aperture is what controls the amount of light that enters your camera. While shutter speed, is what controls the duration of the exposure; and the ISO speed controls the sensitivity of your cameras sensor to a given amount of light. I initially thought that all these were one, now I know that these are all different parts to your and each does its own thing.

Henri Cartier Bresson
Henri Cartier Bresson was born August 22, 1908. He was a french photographer and was known as the father of modern photojournalism. He mainly had a style of what was known as street photography. I'd make a hypothesis that this means he would take pictures of random things going on in society and in the street. I like this picture because I always like pictures that the front is popped out and the back is kind of smaller or blurred out. I also love kids so another reason why I chose this picture.

Ansel Adams
These are photos taken by Ansel Adams; by the look of his pictures I could assume that he liked to take pictures of nature or he was always around it for some reason. The reason why I chose to share these photos is because on the left photo, he captured the water as it was falling. On the photo on the right, its just a photo of a tree. just one tree. I've always liked trees like this one, not too many leaves but on the verge of losing them. Most of his photos were up close in the bottom and the top background was always further but had the part I feel was most targeted.
Austin, Texas
The reason why I like this photo is because it is very detailed and was taken at a very good angle. However, what I liked the most was the reflection. You can clearly see that there is water there, but you can also see the lights that are coming down from the buildings. Pictures that are taken at night are my favorite. I also like it because it reminds me of when I went on a boat party and took many pictures exactly like this one.

Keith Carter Story
This is a photo by Keith Carter, it is a little girl named Stephanie. She lives in bikini bottom. She really likes to explore nature and animals. Many people think she weird because she doesn't really speak to anyone but she always likes to speak to animals. There is never a time she doesn't carry this snake with her, she can control it and train it to do whatever she likes.

Mary Ellen Mark
Mary Ellen Mark was born March 20th, 1940 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She is an American photographer, known for her images which fall between social photojournalism and portraiture. She mainly took pictures of social events going on, and of the problems in society. During the 1940's, the main things going on were poverty and lack of resources and education. You see young kids smoking, poor people and just a lot of teens doing drugs. She also used the rule of thirds in many of her photos. I chose to put these photos in my article because I feel they have a lot of imp-act in her career. That is what she chose to share. They all have some sort of young person or someone smoking, it also shows poverty in the background.

Shutter Speed
http://digital-photography-school.com/shutter-speed/
Shutter speed is the amount of time the shutter is open. It was the length of time the film was exposed to the scene you are taking a picture of. The shutter speed is measured in seconds, anything that is less than 1/60th is very difficult to capture on camera especially without camera shake. Camera shake is when the camera moves and it makes you picture come out blurry. However, some cameras will give you the option to have a slower shutter speed.

F-Stop
http://www.picturecorrect.com/tips/aperture-and-shutter-science-of-the-f-stop/
In the Article Aperture and Shutter: Science of the F-Stop, it explained how everyone uses cameras everyday in their daily lives whether we know it or not. It talks about if you wondered how to take pictures with a blurred background or from far away. We have to adjust the aperture just like we'd adjust our eyes by squinting them while trying to see far away. You also have to adjust the shutter, which works like closing and re-opening your eyes; it also helps the picture get light.
